Fans of Attack on Titan are in for an adrenaline-pumping experience at Fuji-Q Highland, as the park accommodates to unveil its latest attraction based on the hit anime. Known for its terrifying rides and attractions, Fuji-Q Highland, located in Yamanashi Prefecture about 90 minutes west of Tokyo, has built a reputation for delivering high-intensity thrills.
From a roller coaster so fast it once caused injuries to a spine-chilling haunted hospital, the park is constantly seeking new ways to get hearts racing. Now, it’s taking excitement to new heights with the Attack on Titan universe.
Attack on Titan The Ride: The Battle of Liberio
Scheduled to open on September 17, the new ride, Attack on Titan The Ride: The Battle of Liberio, will provide fans with a fully immersive experience. Set in the park’s flight-simulation motion theater, it features an enormous 20-meter-wide screen that envelops guests, creating an all-encompassing sensation of flight. The screen extends around the sides, above, and even beneath the riders’ feet, delivering an unmatched sense of realism.
However, instead of a tranquil flight around Mt. Fuji, riders will find themselves joining the Survey Corps, immediately thrown into action in a recreation of the intense Battle of Liberio, as depicted in Attack on Titan: The Final Season. Riders, acting as new members of the Corps, will fly through the air using Vertical Maneuvering Equipment, alongside fan-favorite characters like Levi, Mikasa, and Jean, to support Eren in a fierce battle against five enemy Titans.
Enhanced Visuals and Intensity
The new ride is an update of Fuji-Q’s previous Attack on Titan The Ride: Final Operation to Recapture Wall Maria, but this version features upgraded CG visuals, designed to be darker and more realistic than the anime’s style. The enhanced graphics and intense battle scenes promise to offer a thrilling and immersive experience for fans of the series.
While this motion theater ride doesn’t physically toss you around like the park’s infamous roller coasters, it still promises a powerful and intense adventure. Visitors might want to consider battling the Titans before indulging at the park’s well-known burger stand!
